Yasuyuki Todo

Yasuyuki Todo is a Professor and the Head of the Department of International Studies, Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, the University of Tokyo. He is also a Faculty Fellow at Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry and a Visiting Fellow at Japan International Cooperation Agency Research Institute. Dr. Yasuyuki Todo received a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in 2000. His research fields are international economics, development economics, and applied microeconometrics. More specifically, his research includes analysis of determinants and impacts of Japanese firms' internationalization (e.g., export, foreign direct investment, and offshoring), quantitative impact evaluation of foreign aid projects, and channels of technology diffusion to less developed countries, using firm- and household-level data for Japan, China, Indonesia, and Ethiopia
