Nishaal Gooroochurn

Nishaal Gooroochurn is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at London Metropolitan Business School. He obtained his PhD at Nottingham University, School of Economics and moved to the Nottingham University Business School where he taught for 5 years. Nishaal also worked in the industry as a Senior Data Analyst at BMI. His research interests are in the areas of Economics of Tourism, Economics of Taxation, Innovation, Economic Development, International Business, Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Analysis and Econometrics. He has published in various journals including World Development, Regional Studies, Research Policy and Annals of Tourism Research and Tourism Economics. He has also undertaken various consultancy works for the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), Visit Scotland, Department of Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS), Cyprus Government and the World Bank.
