Mallika Ishwaran

Mallika Ishwaran is a senior economist at the Cabinet Office, working on the London Summit. She is a member of the UK Government Economic Service, and has previously worked as Analytical Lead on the Cabinet Office’s Global Energy Team, senior economic advisor at the Department for Food, and economic advisor at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. Prior to joining the UK civil service in 2005, Dr. Ishwaran worked as an economist for the Government of Virginia, and as Resident Scholar at the Levy Economics Institute and senior economist at the Levy Forecasting Centre. She received her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1999, after receiving her B.A. from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.
