Lukas Menkhoff is professor of economics at Leibniz Universität Hannover and a CESifo research fellow. His research interests are in international finance, including development finance. Before joining Hannover in 2000 he was professor at RWTH Aachen for five years and held positions in the financial industry. He is also a former member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Lukas has published more than 70 articles in refereed economics and finance journals, including the European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Finance, Journal of International Economics and Journal of International Money and Finance
