Katrin Assenmacher-Wesche

Katrin Assenmacher-Wesche is Economic Advisor at the Research Department of the Swiss National Bank and teaches at the universities of Bern and Zurich. Her research interests lie in the areas of monetary economics and applied econometrics. Much of her recent work has focussed on analysing business cycle indices, estimating interest rate reaction functions using Markov switching techniques and modelling the role of money in the inflation process. She holds a Doctorate and a Diploma in economics from the University of Bonn, where she also received her Habilitation in 2004.
